Happy Summer Solstice! I can’t even believe it’s Summertime! If you know me personally, you know that I’m a total summer girl! I love EVERYTHING about it. Late nights, tan lines, BBQ’s, camping, swimmin’ in the river, the list goes on, and on! Here on this blog post you will find a few FREE events, fun local parks (if you’re local to Snohomish County) and some more summer fun ideas! This summer is the last summer with my girls before they go to school.. yes.. school. WHAAAAAT, how is that even real? Time flies. Anyway, just a disclaimer, that this blog post is written by me, a momma of little kids. So everything here will be based around that. When A & M get a little older, our summer bucket list will look a little different. But for now, here is what we have going on, and some fun things for you to check out!
There are a few around us, but we just discovered the brand new one that opened up in Arlington, and we adore it. Not to mention, they have a freaking snack shack! With really good options, too! Here is a list of our favorite splash pads!

MOVIES ON THE FARM!
This event takes place at Thomas Farms in Snohomish! Our family has gone the past two years in row, and my girls ask ALL the time to go back. In fact, we pass it on HWY 9 and they always see it and remanence! Best part about it is that you can bring in your own food & drink! It begins Friday July 12th and goes through August 23rd. It seriously has become a favorite of ours and we look forward to it every summer!
We all love checking local farmers markets! If you know A & M they DEVOUR fresh fruits and veggies. It’s awesome, but our produce goes fast. With having a few Farmers Markets near, its so cool to be able to pick out some treats to bring home. Sometimes we even get EXTRA special treats like kettle corn, or like the snow cones pictured below!
Last but not least, just hanging out at the lake or river. As long as there is water, we are all content. If you want some good local river spots, feel free to reach out! I know a few that are kid friendly, that we love. We have a few fun hikes planned, that I will share in a separate blog post! I wanted to keep this short, and simple! I hope you’re able to utilize at least one of these activities! It’s easy to think that you need to plan a huge, summer vacation. But remember, your kids don’t care about that. Take them to beach, stop at the dollar store for some sand toys, and have some fun! I once read a blog post about having 18 summers with your kids before they are off to collage, or working. That hit home, and I’m doing the very best I can to enjoy every second with my girls! I hope you all have an amazing summer!
